Finally! New comic post... It's been almost 2 years.
I've never forgotten about little blu. Life gets in the way.
This was a comic I hadn't finished. Started it back in 2009...
Looking more at Bluboy's naivety and innocence in his world/limbo.

Introducing BabyBlu!
Just looking at a new story line.
Starting to get back into my BluBoy world again. Looking at further developing my process and structure.
Hoping to get producing a bunch of new things and ideas.

COMMENTARY:
Emotions I feel are what makes us tick... We react based on how we feel.
They are, I think, what we define in someone as being "lively". So are our emotions make us more alive inside to ourselves and to others?
There are polar opposites, people with too much emotion, or no emotion. Which is worse I've been wondering. Though the later perhaps hiding their emotions internally. Though we all go through phases or crisises in life inwhich cause us to react more or less.
I've being struggling with my emotions lately and at some points I guess found myself turning them off.

He's a little narcissistic when it comes to his feelings around others.

I had some fun developing some Characters for Jello. This was one of them that would find himself on a 3 pack for a lineup for Walmart stores only.

Build your own BluBoy PaperCraft Doll!
Just follow these steps:
1/ Download the 3 dieline images
2/ Print each one out on white paper on 8.5x11 size paper
3/ Carefully cut out each piece.
4/ Skor lightly all the glue flaps and fold them
5/ Glue each piece together. See your local arts and craft shop for a glue pen.
6/ Glue the feet to the body and glue the arms to the body. Glue the hair curl on the head. then sit the head onto the body and done!

Tidbit. A tiny little spirit with a fear and anxiety of, well everything. Except when it comes to BluBoy.
Tidbit being small and insecure, has basically a phobia of everything.

COMMENTARY:
To me, the reason why I've written it is is about a fragile life and caring for it. And about fading memories and trying to hang on to them and not let go.
Blu likes to cling to the past sometimes... until he has to let go (when the pumpkin rots).
Sometimes life or our goals in life have to stop, when we are needed. And sometimes searching for or reaching for that goal their are obstacles that come our way that demand our time and attention.
The pumpkin the symbolizes the past or that fragile life we encounter with a loved one or friend.It's funny, everytime I put the pumpkin in these strips it seems to follow this same theme...
But at least for that little bit of time we have, it's time we can at least cherish with that person while we have them before they go....
Or a realization of a death of someone or a memory that will fade or is forgotten.
Of trying to hold on to that which we can't. But at least for that little bit of time we have, it's time we can at least cherish them or that person while we have them....

PS. some of have been noticing these are old strips. I am just slowly bringing eveything over into the BluBLOG.
A strip introducing a new background character.
(Lots of bird keep showing up in my comics... hmm, Not really sure why...)
The Barn Owl is a freaky looking bird. It has always given me the creeps. But is actually quiet a beautiful bird. So in saying that, this creature fits perfectly in Blu's world. This owl, being dead and a spirit, can see Bluboy. As do the Crows. The other aspect I like about this owl is it's Heart Shaped face. Which gives it such a unique look but also ties into the themes of relationships and heartache. A neat symbol for that...
Just another insecurity of blu's. At least Blu can admit it, he's not very smart. He sees a quality in the owl that he hopes to achieve or if not at least look to for guidance. For himself or for those that come to him for help....

I received this cool fan comic illustrated and written by Josep Oliver writer of El Joven Lovecraft. It's so cute and funny. And actually shows a slightly darker side of BluBoy that not even I have seen yet... Poor Blu will do what ever it takes to have some fun and make a friend. So I took Cisne's fancomic and redid it. Though I changed the ending in my version, making Rommenoth's eye upset by not being noticed by his mummy. It might be out of character, but I thought it was cute...

This was my very first BluBoy comic. I just updated it into the 3 panel format and retouched the art a bit...
BluBoy was first sketched after riding on the Subway home from work, back in October of 2004.
I was feeling lonely and saddened by my Father-In-Law's passing, so I created Blu.
My own best friend.
NOTE: updated my comment here... I'm lazy, and didn't expand on my thoughts. Sorry everyone.

The Comic chat went well! A BluBoy mini comic was given away through guessing the correct oposite to the word "Ghost", which was "Poltergeist". I also got to meet Dave Lowe of Para Abnormal comics.

Working on getting my Soul Searching Series published into "Doorways". Though it won't be the entire series as planned on my DeviantArt site. It is essentially an ongoing series...RE:
This series has been pushed up into the Winter issue. I will keep you all posted. Also, their will be a free limited time download offered by Haberdashery, as a soundtrack for Soul Searching.

New comic in the werks, "Blu-BOT". It will be a kind of side project, not as intense as my BluBoy series.
Currently I am reconstructing my blog here. I hope I can have your patience. I am trying to arrange it to better suit my needs for my comics. So that I can present them in a way that is efficient for me to update and with in a site I can be proud of. The down side is that I do this all myself while maintaining my day job. So hopefully soon I can get things running smoother and more frequently. Thank You.
